Kurdistan Land Draw was built to do two things: give every Kurd a real chance to own land, and put most of the profits back into the hands of the next Kurdish generation.
There are 40 million Kurds in the world. Most have never owned a square metre of their homeland. Many were born in diaspora — in Sweden, Germany, the UK, Canada — raised between two identities, longing for a connection to a place they've only heard of in stories.
Kurdistan Land Draw was created to change that. For $1, every Kurd in the world gets a real chance to own real land. But the mission goes further. The profits from this draw are reinvested into the Kurdish community — funding the people who will build Kurdistan's future.
Full financial transparency is not optional for us — it is the foundation. After every draw, we publish a complete breakdown of revenue and allocation.
The Kurdish Community Fund receives 10% of every draw's revenue. These funds are distributed to Kurdish individuals and initiatives across the diaspora and homeland — selected by an independent community panel.
Seed grants for Kurdish founders building businesses in Kurdistan and the diaspora
Supporting Kurdish musicians, filmmakers, writers and artists preserving our culture
Scholarships and project funding for Kurdish students in STEM fields
Schools, local infrastructure, and environmental initiatives in Kurdish communities
An independent panel of five community members — three from the diaspora, two from the Kurdish homeland — reviews applications after each draw. Selection criteria prioritise impact, community benefit, and authenticity.
All selected recipients and grant amounts are published publicly. The community decides. We facilitate.
You might win land. Someone in Kurdistan might get the funding to start a business. A Kurdish student might get a scholarship. One dollar. Many futures.
